High five to waking up and feeling like a sniff of Spring is finally in the air. The clouds are lifting, people are smiling, the nights are getting lighter. Despite reports that snow is on its way again I definitely feel that winter is coming to an end *big sigh of relief*
Classes
My classes have been good this week. Not overflowing but steady. I always get a surge of motivation to do some extra promotion when I get a ‘steady’ week so I have been out and about flyering and chatting to folks in our community. Local businesses are always willing to help push ventures and the more you chat the more scope there is for contra-deals.
I have noticed that my Zumba classes attract a more regular crew whereas Street dance always gets new people, my venue is based in central Leeds so that might be an influence, I also think this style is very much the ‘in’ thing at the moment.
Hope the arrival of Spring is putting some bounce into your classes.
Mission clean and lean

What a great first week our newbie’s are having. The first week is always the hardest, I think, as you have to so much to get used to; withdrawal symptoms, uncertainty about how you should be feeling, getting used to a new type of training etc. However, my crew have absolutely smashed it ! Already they are feeling better, clothes are baggy, food tastes better and they have bundles of energy.
I love that we bring back the value of food to a lot of people. Eating clean really is a life changing transformation.
We have had so much feedback about launching a 7 day Spring clean detox so we are thrilled to announce that will be starting on Monday 18th March for £18.00 plus we have our regular 21 day detox also starting on Monday 18th March for £49.00
To book your place go to Shop on www.joparry.com
The Spring Clean is mainly directed to previous MCL members who need a pick me up and a kick in the right direction again although anyone can join it.

Events
WOW what a 2 week of events I have been lucky enough to experience.
Fitness Fiesta was at Windsor 2 weeks ago a wonderful 4 star fitness event with UK and International presenters from all over the world giving it large under one roof. The atmosphere and energy was incredible. The classes ranged from Zumba, Bokwa, Fight Klub, Step, Aerobics, Street dance, Pilates, Yoga, Aqua and Ballroom. What a diverse and wonderful industry we work in. All classes were off the hook busy giving delegates the opportunity to participate in classes they probably don’t get at home.
Last weekend I returned to my event home from home Pontins, Camber Sands along with a jaw dropping 1700 plus people.
This weekend was INCREDIBLE. One of the best ever. Great energy.
Did you see the infamous Armageddon Harlem Shake. Genius. 300 plus people going hardcore in Richard Calenders Armageddon class, 300 plus Fight Klubbers kicking butt in the fun factory! Body combat was rammed to the rafters and Zumba with Donna Giffen rocked. The weekend was packed and the energy was infectious. Spinning classes were hot, sweaty and rammed, dance classes were inspirational to the next level.
All the presenters were outstanding but my personal highlight was the fancy dress on Saturday night, you had to come as something beginning with the letter C… Charlotte Carlton and I were of course Chav’s!

We partied alongside cabin crew, cave women, crash test dummies, men in the Closet, Cruella Deville and Coco cola bottles. We had a great night!
I was a step junkie delivering beginners and level 2 freestyle step and I loved every minute. On stage with the lovely Jeni and Michelle we put on our spangly numbers for Disco Dancer and Lyrical jazz and Strictly fit completed my weekend. I met so many instructors there, its so good to know that there is new talent coming through and lots of you are continuing your professional development as well as having a good giggle. Welcome to the fiesta family!
All in all the best Camber in my 10 years of presenting there. Woah, did I just say 10 years!!!
Clothing
As a busy teacher and presenter I am always in need of new kit and I got some great steals from Serena Step n Pump at the week end. The website is www.stepnpump.com and it really is every teachers dream collection from lycra to baggy to girlie to casual plus trainers, dance shoes , Zumba shoes and flip flops. At the top of my wishlist is a pair of jazz shoes due to all the Lyrical Jazz I am teaching now.
Plus www.bordonisport.com Patricia has some beautiful aerobic tops, dance wear and going out accessories on there to.
Happy shopping!
Right, I’m off to check on how we are getting on with this Spring malarkey. Happy days!!!
Until next week, be good!
Love Jo x
